LAC 46:LXX.507. Alcohol Testing

A. The board of examiners may require a pilot to submit to a blood alcohol test under the following circumstances: 1. upon written complaint signed by the complainant in accordance with Chapter 6 of the rules and regulations of the board of review of bar pilots of the Port of New Orleans; 2. when there exists reasonable suspicion that a pilot is performing his duties while under the influence of alcohol; or 3. when the pilot is determined to be directly involved in a marine casualty or accident of the type described in §506.B.2.f.
