C. Licensure as a licensed acupuncturist whether an initial license or renewal thereof, shall terminate and become void, null and to no effect on and as of any day that the licensed acupuncturist's license expires for failure to timely renew. D. Except as provided in Subsection E of this Section, certification as an acupuncture detoxification specialist, whether an initial certificate or renewal thereof, shall terminate and become void, null and to no effect on and as of any day that: 1. the supervising physician or supervising licensed acupuncturist no longer possesses a current, unrestricted license to practice as a physician or as a LAc in the state of Louisiana; 2. the supervising physician or supervising acupuncturist, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, ceases the active practice of medicine or practice as a LAc; 3. the relationship between the ADS and the supervising physician or the supervising LAc is terminated; or 4. the ADS's certification expires for failure to timely renew.
