LAC 46:XLV.2709. Recognition of Perfusion Education Programs

A. Graduation from an accredited perfusion education program is among the required qualifications for licensure as a perfusionist. This qualification shall be deemed to be satisfied if, as of the date of the applicant's graduation, such program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). B. A perfusion education program that is not accredited, or whose accreditation has been revoked or suspended by CAAHEP, shall be deemed unacceptable to qualify applicants for licensure in this state.
