LAC 48:I.13601. Definitions

A. As used in this Chapter, the following terms shall, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, have the following meanings: CDC—the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services CDC Guidelines—with respect to PrEP, means the guidelines set forth in the CDC’s “Preexposure Prophylaxis for the Prevention of HIV Infection in the United States – 2021 Update Clinical Practice Guideline”, and with respect to PEP, means the guidelines set forth in the CDC’s “Updated Guidelines for Antiretroviral Postexposure Prophylaxis After Sexual, Injection Drug Use, or Other Nonoccupational Exposure to HIV—United States, 2016”.
