A. Upon employment or if currently employed and promoted to a specific certification by a parish, municipality, or other political subdivision, an individual must be granted a provisional โ€œFโ€ certificate of registration without certification by a recognized code organization or testing agency, provided that such individual is under the supervision of a registered code enforcement officer who is certified by the International Code Council. Provisional โ€œFโ€ certifications shall be as follows. 1. A provisional โ€œFโ€ certification shall be valid for 12 months from date of hire or promotion. 2. A provisional โ€œFโ€ certification for veterans shall be valid for 24 months from date of hire or promotion.
