A. Every fee required in accordance with the provisions of R.S. 40:1664.1 et seq., and these rules, shall be paid by firm check or certified funds made payable to the "Office of State Fire Marshal." Cash or personal checks cannot be accepted. B. Fees shall be paid at or mailed to the Office of State Fire Marshal at 8181 Independence Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70806. C. Late fees are required on all certificates of registration or license holders who fail to submit renewal applications in a timely fashioned as outlined in R.S. 40:1664.1 et seq. D. A renewal application accompanied by the required renewal fee and deposited with the United States Postal Service is deemed to be timely filed, regardless of actual date of delivery, when its envelope bears a legible postmark date which is on or before the expiration date of the certificate or license being renewed. E. Certificates or licenses which have been expired for more than 60 days will be suspended and applicants must apply and pay for a new certificate of registration or license.
