LAC 55:XIII.103. Who Is Required to Sign the Warrants

A. Two officials must sign every warrant authorizing payment of supplemental pay in addition to the preparer. The parish president is required to sign the warrants as the approving officer and the certifying officer should be police jury secretary/treasurer. The preparer must hold an administrative position, such as payroll/human resources/finance. B. The department will request certifying signature authorizations annually. The municipality must notify the department whenever there is a change to the person or persons authorized to sign.
