LAC 56:I.101. Authorization

A. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Office of Public Works revised the rules, regulations and standards for water well registration, construction, plugging and abandonment, installation of control devises on free flowing wells and licensing of water well contractors and other drillers under the authority given in R.S. 38:2091-38:3098.8. B. Effective January 1, 2010, in accordance with Act 437 of 2009, The Department of Natural Resources, Office of Conservation, hereafter referred to as “department,” is responsible for registering water wells and holes in Louisiana.
