A. By the end of grade 6, mathematically proficient students can reliably apply the following skills to engage in grade-appropriate mathematical tasks. This list does not represent the full depth of learning expected in grade 6, but is comprised of the foundational skills required by the standards. 1. Fluently divide multi-digit numbers using standard algorithms. 2. Divide fractions by fractions. 3. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using standard algorithms. 4. Determine the unknown number in an addition or subtraction equation. 5. Determine the unknown number in a multiplication and division equation. 6. Evaluate expressions with positive, whole number exponents.
