A. Certification periods of a set duration will be assigned. In order to continue to receive benefits, the household must timely reapply and be determined eligible. In the month preceding the final month of certification, a notice of expiration will be provided to the household. The notice shall inform the household that failure to timely reapply will result in closure and include the right to a fair hearing. Also, if during the reapplication process, a change is reported which results in a determination of ineligibility or a reduction in benefits, this change will be made effective the following month. B. The department will require an official reapplication for benefits and prorate benefits from the date of application following a period of ineligibility.
