LAC 70:II.1905. Responsibility for Overflows and Spills

A. The permittee shall be responsible for scheduling and performing the work so that the permittee does not cause or contribute to overflows or spills from a sewer system. B. If the permittee’s activities cause or contribute to overflows or spills, the permittee shall take appropriate action immediately, as follows: 1. contain and stop the overflow; 2. clean the spillage; 3. disinfect the area affected by the overflow or spill; and 4. notify the owner in a timely manner.
