A. A teaching authorization (TA) is a nonstandard credential that only indicates a cleared criminal background check and is neither the equivalent of a teaching certificate nor substantiation of enrollment in or completion of an educator preparation program. B. Beginning June 14, 2023, TAs will no longer be issued.
