A. An ancillary math for professionals certificate is issued to an applicant who has an undergraduate degree from a university accredited in accordance with 34 CFR 602 and/or evidence of a math and/or science work-related background. B. Math for professionals certificate allows an individual to teach one or more mathematics courses. C. Eligibility requirements: 1. meets at least one of the following: a. earned 30 credit hours of mathematics; b. earned a graduate degree in mathematics, engineering, or science content area; or c. successful passing of the Praxis Secondary Mathematics: Content Knowledge test. 2. complete a district developed classroom readiness/training program, based on state guidelines. D. The holder of such certification is not eligible for tenure.
