Anderson, Commissioner of Insurance Date: February 3, 2021 Re: Special Open Enrollment Period Effective Immediately The Massachusetts Division of Insurance (the “Division”) issues this Bulletin 2021-02: Special Enrollment Period Effective Immediately, for eligible individuals in the Commonwealth. The Division has collaborated with the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority (the “Connector”) in developing this Bulletin. In light of the spread of COVID-19 in the Commonwealth and its impact to the public’s health, the Connector has announced a limited-time special enrollment period. This Bulletin effectuates a special enrollment period lasting until May 23, 2021, during which Massachusetts residents can enroll in health coverage. The Connector has informed the Division that the Massachusetts special open enrollment period for eligible individuals will last through May 23, 2021.
