Purpose
The purpose of 258 CMR 31.00 is to require all social workers licensed by the Board to obtain
continuing education as a condition for renewal of their licenses in order to promote and enhance the
professional competence of all licensed social workers, and to establish criteria for approval of
continuing education programs to be used in fulfilling such continuing education requirements.
