(1) A permittee shall provide at least 30 days advance written notification to the Authority
before taking any action which may substantially change the volume or nature of its discharge,
including a substantial change in the volume or character of pollutants in its discharge, from any
compliance measurement location, or from any sewer connection. Such actions may include,
but not be limited to, the following:
(a) substantial expansion or contraction of the facility from which the discharge originates;
(b) substantial increase or decrease in production;
(c) modification of any process;
(d) alteration of the Pretreatment system or the operation of the Pretreatment system;
(e) discharge from a different or relocated sewer connection; or
(f) any changes affecting the potential for a Slug Discharge.
(2) The Authority will review the information provided in the written notification and will
inform the permittee if the proposed change requires submission of a new permit application.
If the Authority requires a new permit application, the permittee shall file a new permit
application and obtain a modified permit before taking the action described in the notice. If the
Authority does not require a new permit application, the permittee may take the action described
in the notice so long as that action does not violate the regulations or the Person's Sewer Use
Discharge Permit.
