Extension of Time

Notwithstanding the provisions of 801 CMR 1.02(4)(d), it shall be within the discretion of Elder Affairs or the Hearings Officer, for good cause, to extend anytime limit contained in 651 CMR 1.00. All requests for extension of time shall be made in writing, unless otherwise stated, and before the expiration of the original or previously extended time period. The filing of such a request shall cause the time period sought to be extended until Elder Affairs or the Hearings Officer acts on the request.
