Purpose
940 CMR 26.00 is designed to protect Massachusetts consumers from sham discount health
plans. 940 CMR 26.00 responds to acts and practices that unfairly harm consumers in the area
of discount health products by requiring specific disclosures, prohibiting certain
misrepresentations and requiring provider agreements.
