Hearings on Denial or Revocation of License
An Applicant or Sales Agent is entitled to a hearing before his/her license is denied,
suspended or revoked if he/she requests such hearing within 20 days from the date of notice of
the denial, revocation, or suspension.
The hearing shall be conducted by the Director or his/her designee. If the Sales Agent is
aggrieved by the decision of the Director, he/she may appeal to the Commission for a hearing
pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A.
Any such appeal shall be in writing and made within 30 days of the giving of notice of the
Directors determination.
In accordance with M.G.L. c. 30A, § 11(7), if less than a majority of the Commissioners or
the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission are present at a hearing, no party shall be entitled
to a tentative or proposed decision unless such party makes a written request in advance for such
tentative or proposed decision.
