Stroke Services

(A) On and after January 1, 2026, each hospital with an emergency department and each satellite emergency facility, at a minimum, must provide acute stroke ready services and shall meet the acute stroke ready service requirements in 105 CMR 130.1402 through 130.1403. (B) In addition to the requirement in 105 CMR 130.1402(A), a hospital may seek designation to provide primary stroke services or endovascular capable stroke services. (C) For purposes of 130.1402 through 130.1407, stroke services means acute stroke ready service, primary stroke service and endovascular capable stroke service.
