Provisions for Individuals with Disabilities

(A) Gradients of Walks. Public walks shall be not less than four feet wide and shall have a gradient that complies with 521 CMR 1.00: Architectural Access Board. (B) Walks – Continuous Surface. Walks shall be of a continuing common surface, not interrupted by steps or abrupt changes in level. Wherever walks cross other walks, driveways or parking lots, they shall blend to a common level. (C) Access from parking areas through a primary building entrance shall be a continuous level or ramped surface without stairs or abrupt changes in level.
