Advisory Committee
The Congenital Anomalies Monitoring Program may establish an advisory committee to
advise the Department on the implementation of 105 CMR 302.000. The advisory committee
shall serve solely in an advisory capacity and shall not have authority to make binding decisions.
The advisory committee will not have designated members, but may include representatives of
the Massachusetts Chapter of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists,
Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Massachusetts Medical Society,
Massachusetts Hospital Association, a certified genetic counselor, a parent of a child who has
been diagnosed with a congenital anomaly, an adult who has been diagnosed with a congenital
anomaly, a physician who specializes in treatment or research regarding congenital anomalies,
an ethicist and others who have relevant experience and choose to participate.
