The operator shallprovide the electric service and shall provide at least one electric light fixture in each room used for sleeping, in each kitchen, dining room, mess hall, and toilet room and in addition, at least one wall-type electrical convenience outlet in each of those places, except the toilet and shower rooms. Adequate lighting shallalso be provided for the safe and reasonable use of the yard area and pathways to common use facilities. The operator shall also provide the bulbsnecessary for illumination. No less than one 60-watt bulb per 100 square feet of the floor area in rooms used for sleeping, and in kitchens, dining rooms, mess halls, and toilet rooms, will satisfy the requirements of this chapter; provided, that if a source of electricity is not available from power lines within1000 feet, the operator shall provide safety lanterns in such numbers as the Massachusetts Department of Public Health determines will meet the reasonable safety needs of the farm labor camps. All wiring and lighting fixtures shall be installed in accordance with applicable State and localcodes and maintained ina safe condition.
