Bureau of Special Investigations

The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) is authorized to investigate all overpayments involving possible client fraud. The worker shall not investigate these cases. BSI has the responsibility to determine if an overpayment resulting from fraud exists. BSI shall have full access to Department records and files for the purposes of fraud detection and control. Department staff shall cooperate fully with BSI representatives.
