Penalties for Violations

All injury reports shall be completed and signed under the pains and penalties of perjury by the association veterinarian whose signature shall be witness by a Commission veterinarian or inspector. Whoever knowingly makes a false written statement on an injury report shall be punished by imprisonment for up to two years and a fine of up to $2,500, or both such fine and imprisonment. A person found guilty of knowingly violating 205 CMR 9.03 for a second or subsequent offense shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one, or more than five years, or a fine of not less than $5,000, or both such fine and imprisonment.
