Rule 12-201. Applicability

The rules in this Chapter govern actions for acquisition of property by condemnation under the power of eminent domain. Cross reference: Code, Real Property Article, §§ 12-101 and 12-102; Maryland Constitution, Article III, §§ 40 and 40A. Committee note: These rules are not intended to cover “condemnation” of property as hazardous to health, etc., or to repeal or supersede statutory or constitutional authority for “quick take” procedures.
