Rule 16-603. Extended Coverage Permissible

Except as otherwise prohibited by law and subject to the exceptions, limitations, and conditions set forth in the Rules in this Chapter, extended coverage of proceedings in the trial and appellate courts of Maryland is permitted. Nothing in this Chapter is intended to restrict the general right of the news media to observe and report judicial proceedings. Committee note: Code, Criminal Procedure Article, § 1-201 prohibits extended coverage of criminal proceedings in a trial court or before a grand jury.
