Boards
Section 10-110 of the Insurance Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, authorizes the
Commissioner to appoint an advisory board for life and health insurance and an advisory board
for property and casualty insurance to assist the Commissioner in reviewing continuing
education courses, examinations, and other matters relating to the education and qualification of

There are currently vacancies on both the life and health and property and casualty advisory
boards. If you are a resident of Maryland and an actively licensed producer, or an employee or
officer of an insurer with experience in life and health insurance or property and casualty
insurance, and you are interested in serving as a volunteer member on either of the producer
advisory boards, please complete the Producer Licensing Advisory Board Member Application

Successful candidates will be appointed to terms ranging from 1 year to 4 years so as to stagger
terms.
