33 §2085. Custody if transaction took place in this State

Except as in section 2082 , 2083 or 2084 , the administrator may take custody of property presumed abandoned whether located in this State or another state if: [PL 2019, c. 498, §22 (NEW).] 1. Transaction in this State. The transaction out of which the property arose took place in this State; [PL 2019, c. 498, §22 (NEW).] 2. Holder's domicile in another state. The holder is domiciled in a state that does not provide for the custodial taking of the property; and [PL 2019, c. 498, §22 (NEW).] 3. Apparent owner or other person entitled. The last known address of the apparent owner or other person entitled to the property is unknown or in a state that does not provide for the custodial taking of the property. [PL 2019, c. 498, §22 (NEW).]
