Principaldepartments,supervisionofgovernor;informationfromstateofficers. Sec. 8. Each principal department shall be under the supervision of the governor unless otherwiseprovidedbythisconstitution.Thegovernorshalltakecarethatthelawsbefaithfully executed. He shall transact all necessary business with the officers of government and may requireinformationinwritingfromallexecutiveandadministrativestateofficers,electiveand appointive,uponanysubjectrelatingtothedutiesoftheirrespectiveoffices. Courtenforcementofconstitutionalorlegislativemandate. Thegovernormayinitiatecourtproceedingsinthenameofthestatetoenforcecompliance withanyconstitutionalorlegislativemandate,ortorestrainviolationsofanyconstitutionalor legislative power, duty or right by any officer, department or agency of the state or any of its political subdivisions.
