R 408.41961 Offhand grinders; safety devices.

Rule 1961. (1) Offhand grinders shall be equipped with either a work rest or a
device that shall prevent the workpiece from jamming between the abrasive wheel and
the wheel guard.
(2) A work rest shall be adjusted and maintained to within 1/8 of an inch
(0.3175 cm) of the abrasive wheel.
(3) A work rest shall be designed and constructed of metal that is capable of
supporting the workpiece. A work rest shall be of rigid construction and designed
to be adjustable to compensate for wheel wear.
