R 418.10911 Billing requirements for ancillary services.

Rule 911. (1) A bill for the following ancillary services shall include a copy of a written prescription by a licensed practitioner. Documentation of a prescription drug or medical supply in the clinical record shall constitute the prescription for services dispensed in a practitioner's office or in a health care organization. (a) Prescription medications. (b) Medical supplies and equipment, except when dispensed by a facility or health care organization. (c) Hearing aids, shoes, and wigs. (d) Home health services. (e) Orthoses and prostheses. (f) Physical and occupational therapy.
