R 324.8901 Purpose.

Rule 1. These rules govern the establishment of contracts for the expenditure of
money in the clean water fund to implement the programs described in the department's
document entitled "A Strategic Environmental Quality Monitoring Program for
Michigan's Surface Waters," dated January 1997; for water pollution control activities;
for wellhead protection activities; for storm water treatment projects and activities; and to
serve the purpose of section 8808 of 1994 PA 451, MCL 324.8808.
