INTRODUCTION

Subpart 1. Scope. This chapter is adopted under Minnesota Statutes, section 18C.121 , to regulate the design, construction, repair, alteration, location, installation, and operation of agricultural anhydrous ammonia systems with product used or intended for use as a fertilizer. Subp. 2. Exceptions. This chapter does not apply to: A. ammonia manufacturing plants; B. refrigeration systems where ammonia is used solely as a refrigerant; C. ammonia transportation pipelines; D. ammonia barges and tankers; and E. ammonia regulated under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 326.
