Definition of Abandonment of Residence

PURPOSE: This rule defines when a recipient of assistance becomes ineligible due to abandonment of Missouri residence. (1) When it is known that a recipient of public assistance or Blind Pension has left the state, the Family Support Division shall determine the reason for the absence and, if it is established that the recipient has abandoned his/her Missouri residence, assistance will be discontinued.
