Nondiscrimination Among Members

PURPOSE: This rule further implements the intent of the statutes and rules which govern the system regarding discrimination among members of a political subdivision. (1) The provisions of the Local Government Employees’ Retirement System shall apply equally to all members without regard to a member’s race, color, creed, national origin, or sex. (2) A participating political subdivision may not discriminate among its employees with respect to any option under the EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT SYSTEM (LAGERS) system available to the political subdivision.
