PURPOSE: This rule advises the public of the definitions which the board has adopted for certain terms which are used in Chapter 334, RSMo. (1) The term “extenuating circumstances” as used in section 334.416.4, RSMo shall be defined as: (A) Death in the immediate family; (B) Illness documented by physician’s statement; (C) Accident causing bodily injury; (D) Other exceptional causes as determined by the board. (2) Failure to receive a renewal notice is not an extenuating circumstance. AUTHORITY: sections 334.125, RSMo 2000 and 334.414, RSMo Supp. 2005.* This rule originally filed as 4 CSR 150-9.010.
