PURPOSE: This rule specifies the coordinate system utilized for digital cadastral parcel mapping in Missouri. (1) The Missouri State Plane Coordinate System shall be the coordinate system used for digital cadastral parcel mapping in Missouri. (2) To convert metric mapping coordinates, if desired, to International Feet, use the conversion of 1 meter equals 3.280839895013 feet, where one (1) international foot equals 0.3048 meters exactly or 1 inch equals 2.54 centimeters exactly as defined by the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST).
