All Mississippi licensed property and casualty insurance companies shall promptly reply to these requests by mailing a copy of the loss runs to the insureds. Please be advised that the failure to provide the company loss runs or the failure to proceed with due diligence in providing this information will be considered a violation of the Mississippi Unfair Trade Practices Act, specifically Miss. Code Ann. § 83-5-45 (Rev. 2011). Mississippi law provides for a fine to be issued up to Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) per violation, and the MID will vigorously pursue all reported and substantiated violations.
