This law changed the licensing requirements to include prelicensing and continuing education. Effective May 1, 2000, any person applying for a Professional Bail Agent, Soliciting Bail Agent, or Bail Enforcement Agent's license must complete eight (8) hours of prelicensing education approved by this department and the Professional Bail Agents Association of Mississippi, Inc. prior to the issuance of a license. Effective May 1, 2000, all Professional Bail Agents, Soliciting Bail Agents, and Bail Enforcement Agents must complete eight (8) hours of continuing education approved by this department and the Professional Bail Agents Association of Mississippi, Inc. prior to the renewal of your privilege tax license. The original Certificate of Attendance/Completion must be attached to your renewal application.
