Every individual seeking to be licensed for life and/or health/accident or property/casualty insurance, as a condition of issuance of the agents' license, must furnish the Commissioner of Insurance a certification that he or she has completed such approved prelicensing course of study for the line of insurance requested. The prelicensing course of study shall consist of: Life, Health and Accident (only) Life (only) Health/Accident (only) Property and Casualty (only) 24 Classroom hours 12 Classroom hours 12 Classroom hours 24 Classroom hours # Exemptions: - A nonresident licensee who meets the prelicensing requirement in the state in which such person resides. If the nonresident licensee's home state has no prelicensing requirement, the agent must comply with the Mississippi prelicensing requirement. - A licensee applying for a limited license for industrial life, industrial health and accident, credit life, credit health and accident, small loan, industrial fire, or vehicle physical damage.
