Title The Mississippi Comprehensive Hurricane Damage Mitigation Program is housed within the Mississippi Insurance Department (MID). The Strengthen Mississippi Homes (SMH) program is a part of the Mississippi Comprehensive Hurricane Damage Mitigation Program and is established to issue financial grants to single-family, site-built, owner-occupied, residential property owners for the retrofitting of their properties to make them less vulnerable to hurricane damage.
