Denial of Registration

Denial of Registration. In addition to the cancellation of the provisional registration, a finding of any of the above-listed reasons shall result in a denial of the Applicant’s registration as a Scrap Metal Dealer. Registration under the Act is confirmed by the issuance of a Certificate of Registration by the Secretary of State. Registration shall become effective upon the date of registration reflected on the Certificate of Registration. The Certificate of Registration is issued upon receipt by the Secretary of State of a completed registration application, confirmed receipt of the registration fee, and an assessment of the Applicant’s qualifications to act as a Scrap Metal Dealer, including but not limited to a criminal background history verification as authorized by the Act.
