Activities requiring a Letter of Permission include, but are not limited to, archaeological research, invasive species control, trapping, extended camping, special events, and establishing a geocache. Approval is dependent on an assessment by CPA staff that the activity will have only minimal, temporary, impacts to public safety and the natural resources. A Special Permit, as defined in Title 22, Part 18, is required for research and collecting biological specimens on all CPAs. MISS. CODE ANN. ยง49-27-1 et seq.
