Trapping of any kind is not allowed on CPAs unless a Letter of Permission is granted by the MDMR Coastal Preserve Program. A Letter Permission will generally be considered only for invasive species control. A Special Permit, as defined in Title 22, Part 18, is required for research and collecting biological specimens on all CPAs. MISS. CODE ANN. §§49-7-1, 49-7-3, 49-7-8, 49-15-69, 49-7-80, and 49-7-95.
