Multi-Agency Data Governance Committee (MADGC)

Multi-Agency Data Governance Committee (MADGC). Pursuant to statutory directive,
the SLDS Governing Board shall establish and maintain a standing Multi-Agency Data
Governance Committee (“MADGC”) to provide coordinated, cross-agency oversight and
guidance regarding data governance policies, standards, and practices applicable to SLDS data.
MADGC shall be comprised of designated representatives from each agency that contributes to
or is represented on the SLDS Governing Board. Each contributing agency shall appoint its
representative in writing to the Board and may designate an alternate representative. MADGC
shall meet as necessary and shall provide recommendations only. MADGC shall have no
independent decision-making authority and may not adopt rules, regulations, or policies on
behalf of the SLDS Governing Board. Representatives shall serve at the pleasure of the
appointing agency, which may replace them at any time upon written notice to the Board.
