Division of Peer Recovery and Support A. The Division of Peer Recovery and Support, which coordinates peer support services at DMH Certified Providers and DMH-operated programs. The purpose of peer support services is to encourage individuals to become and stay engaged in the recovery process and to reduce the likelihood of relapse. 1. Promulgates standards and requirements pertaining to Peer Support Professional credentialing; 2. Processes applications for Peer Support Professional credentialing and related forms and paperwork; 3. Assists the public with information pertaining to PSS professional credentialing; 4. Maintains a registry of individuals holding a PSSP professional credential and provides verification of PSSP professional credentials, as appropriate; 5. Regulates the use of DMH professional credentialing titles 6. Attends Professional Licensure and Certification (PLACE) Review Board meetings and related matters.
