Employee Health 1. Employees manifesting symptoms or otherwise suspected of having upper respiratory, gastrointestinal, skin, or other serious contagious conditions shall be excluded from work until either free from symptoms or certified by a physician to be no longer infectious. 2. Staff shall use universal precautions when changing diapers or being exposed to biocontaminants to include blood, body fluids, or excretions that may spread infectious disease. Refer to Caring for Our Children: National Health and Safety Performance Standards for guidelines on cleaning bodily fluids. 3. Staff shall follow the procedures noted on the MSDH Handwashing website to prevent the spread of infection. .
