Menus: The Center shall provide a menu listing all meals and snacks to be served during the current week. Meal and/or snack substitutions shall be recorded on the posted menu. Menus shall be retained at the Center for six (6) months. Use the following when planning menus: 1. Offer a variety of nutrient dense foods. 2. Serve meals and snacks that help maintain a healthy weight. 3. Serve a variety of vegetables, fruits, and whole grain-rich products. 4 . Avoid foods high in sugar and saturated fat. Limit fried food to one time e a c h w e e k . 5. Limit high sodium products and the use of added salt. 6. Promote and encourage daily physical activity.
