Refreshments 1. Refreshments may be provided by parents only on a child's birthday or other special celebration such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Christmas, Graduation, etc. Food provided to children, including vending machines at the facility, must meet nutritional guidelines as set forth in Appendix “C.” 2. It is recommended that foods for the event that are brought to the facility by parents should be “store bought” and not “home cooked.” 3. Food items for the event may include cake, ice cream, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, etc. Other items, i.e., party favors such as stickers, books, toothbrushes, and crayons, etc., are encouraged.
